Analsying Poems (not completed)

Analysing poems
Poem:
Life, Life, Life

Poet: Barbara Jean

Life sucks, it is too shortLike I don't see my purpose on this EarthI'm doing nothing, sinning my way to Hell! Nobody cares for me in this lifeAt least that’s what I thinkPeople may say” we love you, we care for you'But I know they don't mean it, cause what is their to love? I don't see nothing in me to loveLife stinksI have no purpose on earthI hate my life, this lifeThere is simply no loveTo me there's only lustThere's no such things as Brother hood or Sisterhood anymoreThe world is simply coming to an endLove, pain, blood, the coldnessEverything is dying! People, the environment, the whole worldAll of itAll the things, people, creatures’ God createdAll of it is coming to an endLife is over, it's coming to the final chapter

Situation:

The situation is about a person that has something bad happen to them in their life to make them hate their life and the way they are living. The person seems sad and confused about her life of what is there to love? When people say that they love and care for her but she doesn’t believe them.
Communication:

The poet wants to communicate that life isn’t all that it seems, it is not like in those romantic, happy movies that everyone falls in love with and believe it is true. The poet is saying that life is too short and those movies could be real until reality comes and gets you and holds you back.

Emotion:

The emotion of the poem is angry, sad, depressing and terrible. She shows a lot of her emotion in this poem. To me it feels like she is upset of a break-up or a terrible thing that happened to her to regret on what happened.

Shakespeare Oral

Shakespeare’s Tragedies: are we still fascinated?
By Gabrielle Burey
The topic I have chosen is Shakespeare’s tragedies. Shakespeare has made a total of 10 plays that have been in the Tragedies section. Shakespeare made plays about tragedies because he thought that The Tragic plots that were used by other writers lacked purpose and form. In our days now, I believe that we are still fascinated as there have been reports, plays, and more that have been about Shakespeare’s Tragedies. Opera use some of Shakespeare’s plays for their performance which Romeo & Juliet is more famous. The 4 most famous Tragedies are Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello and King Lear. Macbeth is a drama of one of the great tragedy themed plays written by William Shakespeare. 1 Example of these plays is from Macbeth which I provided a short summary.
It is about 3 witches confronting the great Scottish general who was Macbeth from his return from a war near Scotland and Norway. Duncan, who is the Scottish king, decided that he will discuss the title of the betraying Cawdor on Macbeth. Another general called Banquo and Macbeth, happen upon 3 witches. The witches predicted that one day Macbeth may become king. Macbeth became interested and decided to murder Duncan, the King. Macbeth’s Wife agreed as well to Macbeth’s devious plan. So he murdered Duncan and Macbeth’s assisting wife smeared Duncan’s blood on the sleeping guard’s daggers. Macduff, a nobleman, discovers Duncan’s dead body. Assisting that the guards had his blood smeared on their daggers, Macbeth kills them since that was the proof that they were the ones that killed Duncan. So the Crown is passed to Macbeth. More murders appear and soon the bloodied ghost of Banquo appears to Macbeth. Lady Macbeth’s conscience begins to torture her and then she imagines that she can see her hands covered in blood. Lady Macbeth commits suicide while Macduff kills Macbeth and then becomes king.
Romeo and Juliet which is a romantic tragedy, was written near 1595, but was a guess since the play is unknown for its exact date. Shakespeare was around 31 at the time when he first wrote Romeo and Juliet. A quote from Romeo and Juliet which is one of William Shakespeare’s most famous plays, “Eyes look your last, Arms take your last Embrace, and lips, o’ you the doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss”.
There are many tragedies also, such as Anthony and Cleopatra, Coriolanus, Julius Caesar, Timon of Athens, Titus Andronicus and Troilus and Cressida.
From the many reasons on why we are fascinated in Shakespeare’s tragedies there is only one that stands out to me more. That usually for tragedies, we are still fascinated because in his plays and in his time they both were compared to be the same. His plays and in his times are more serious and disastrous then what they are today.
In conclusion, it is believed that we are still fascinated in Shakespeare’s Works and on his tragedies. If Shakespeare wasn’t around we would have an inspiration on poems, plays, the list goes on. Thankyou for listening to my speech and still be fascinated in Tragedies.
